Terms and conditions
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the use of Dataminutes, the data platform available at app.dataminutes.tech (the "Service"), provided by Dataminutes SAS ("Dataminutes", "we", "us"). They form a contract between Dataminutes and the business that creates an account (the "Customer", "you").
1. Acceptance and who may use the Service
- You accept these Terms when you create an account, start a trial or subscribe. If you accept them for a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
- The Service is for businesses and professionals only, for their professional purposes. It is not offered to consumers.
- Your account is an organization. You can invite users to it and give them a role (admin, read and write, or read only). You are responsible for what your users do, for keeping their credentials confidential, and for telling us at once of any unauthorized access.
2. The Service
Dataminutes lets you load data from your sources (connectors and file uploads) into a database dedicated to your organization, which we operate, and transform it with SQL in the application. You use the results through hosted dashboards (Apache Superset), from which you can also export your final tables, and through an AI assistant connected to our MCP server. The Service does not include direct access to the database itself. It is built on open-source software (such as Meltano, dbt and Apache Superset), which remains under its own licenses.
- We may improve and change the Service. We will not materially reduce its core features during a paid period, and we will tell you in advance of any change that removes a feature you use.
- Features marked as beta or "coming soon" are provided as they are, may change or be withdrawn, and are not covered by any commitment in these Terms.
- We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and offer no service level agreement. We may interrupt it for maintenance, preferably outside business hours.
- Support is provided by email at [email protected], on business days, on a best effort basis.
3. Plans, trial and payment
- Plans, prices and limits (data volume and pipeline jobs per month) are listed on our pricing page. Prices are in euros, per month, excluding VAT, which is added at the applicable rate.
- A new organization starts with a free trial of 15 days. When it ends without a subscription, your data stays readable for 7 days but no pipeline job can run; after that, the organization is disabled.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, by card, through our payment provider Stripe, and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- When a plan limit is reached, new pipeline jobs do not start until the next month, until you free up data, or until you move to a higher plan. We do not charge for overages.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend the Service after notifying you. Late payment bears penalties at three times the French legal interest rate, plus a fixed indemnity of €40 for collection costs (French Commercial Code, art. L441-10).
- We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after that notice; you may cancel before it does.
4. Your data
- The data you load into the Service, and what you build from it (transformations, tables, dashboards), is yours ("Customer Data"). You give us the right to host, copy and process it only to provide the Service to you.
- You are responsible for Customer Data: its lawfulness, its accuracy, and your right to load it. When you connect a source (such as a Google account through the Google Sheets connector), you authorize us to access it on your behalf, only to load the data you select, and you remain bound by that source's own terms. Our handling of Google user data is described in our privacy policy.
- Your data is stored in the hosting region of your organization. Each organization has its own database, which other customers cannot access.
- The Service copies data from your sources; it is not a backup of them. Keep your source data, and keep your transformations' SQL and extracts of anything you cannot recreate.
- You can delete Customer Data at any time from the application, and export your final tables at any time from the dashboards.
5. Personal data processed on your behalf
When Customer Data contains personal data, you are its controller and we process it as your processor, within the meaning of the GDPR. This section is our data processing agreement (GDPR art. 28). We:
- process it only on your documented instructions, which these Terms and your use of the Service are;
- ensure that anyone authorized to access it is bound by confidentiality;
- protect it with appropriate technical and organizational measures, including a separate database per organization, encrypted credentials and access tokens, and encrypted connections;
- use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, under contracts with equivalent obligations, and tell you of any new sub-processor at least 30 days in advance, so you can object and, if we cannot accommodate you, end your subscription;
- only transfer it outside the European Union with the safeguards set out in our privacy policy, or to the region you chose for your organization;
- help you answer requests from the people concerned and meet your obligations on security, breach notification and impact assessments;
- notify you without undue delay, and within 72 hours, of a personal data breach affecting it;
- delete it at the end of the Service, as described in section 9;
- make available the information needed to show that we meet these obligations, and answer your audit questions.
The personal data we process as a controller (your account, billing and our website) is covered by our privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to load data you have no right to process;
- infringe anyone's rights, or send malware or harmful code through the Service;
- try to access other customers' data, probe or bypass the Service's security or limits, or put an unreasonable load on it;
- copy, resell or make the Service available to third parties, or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows.
An AI assistant you connect to the Service acts on your behalf, with your user's permissions: you are responsible for what it does.
7. Intellectual property
We own the Service, its interfaces and our software, except the open-source components it includes. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your account is active. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely, without obligation to you.
8. Confidentiality
Each party keeps confidential the non-public information it receives from the other (including Customer Data and the terms of any specific offer), uses it only for these Terms, and protects it with reasonable care. This lasts for the duration of the contract and 5 years after it ends.
9. Duration, cancellation and end of the Service
- These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You can cancel your subscription at any time by writing to [email protected]; it ends at the end of the current billing period, which is not refunded.
- We may end the contract with 30 days' notice by email; you are then refunded the unused part of a prepaid period.
- We may suspend access immediately when needed to protect the Service or other customers, or in case of a serious breach of these Terms, and end the contract if it is not remedied within 15 days of our notice.
- When the contract ends, your organization is disabled, its dashboards included. For 30 days you can ask us to reactivate it, or to give you back access long enough to export your final tables; we then delete Customer Data within the next 60 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
10. Warranties and liability
- We provide the Service with the care of a professional service provider (an obligation of means). To the extent permitted by law, we give no other warranty, in particular about the results you get from your data, transformations or dashboards.
- Neither party is liable for indirect damages, such as lost profits, revenue, business or goodwill. We are not liable for damage caused by your sources, your configuration or your transformations, or by third-party services we do not control.
- Our total liability under these Terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it, or €100 if you have paid nothing yet.
- These limits do not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything the law does not allow to be limited.
- You will indemnify us against claims from third parties arising from Customer Data or from a use of the Service in breach of these Terms.
11. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code. If it lasts more than 30 days, either party may end the contract by notice.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will tell you of any significant change by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before then; continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept it.
13. General
- These Terms, with the privacy policy and any order or specific offer we agree on in writing, are the whole agreement between us. A specific offer prevails over these Terms where they differ.
- If a clause is held invalid, the others remain in force. Not enforcing a clause is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer this contract without our agreement. We may transfer it to a successor of our business, after telling you.
- Notices are sent by email: to the address of your organization's admin, and to [email protected] for us.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. Before going to court, the parties will try to settle any dispute amicably for 30 days. Failing that, the commercial courts with jurisdiction over the registered office of Dataminutes SAS have exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Contact
